Jin Young Nam is a Ph.D. student at the Department of Media and Communications at Korea University in South Korea. She received her BCom from University of British Columbia (UBC). Jin Young’s research focuses on the social impacts of new media, with a focus on digital contents, new technologies and user adoption. She merges diverse perspectives in the field of new media and aims to understand how users engage with digital contents, but also the implications of new technologies and their effects on users and the society.
